A five-image visual satire deck follows Willy, a recurring orca and watchful eye, backward and forward through the evolution of our relationship with technology.
The imagery moves between a surreal retro-futurist Xanadu 2.0 filled with changing digital pictures, screens, eyes and whales; a cinematic “Free Willy” movie-poster parody; a Seattle “Whale Watching” scene where the familiar relationship between watcher and watched begins to reverse; and a monumental Willy appearing impossibly large in Washington, D.C. The Creator Human logo completes the deck with the whale and eye as a recurring visual signature.
Beneath the absurdity is a simple technological timeline:
computer as tool → computer as environment → environment that observes and responds → observation as infrastructure.
The story reaches back to the era before Windows became the dominant personal-computing interface, when real-time customer data, networked information and early digital workflows were already changing how people worked. It passes through the cultural fascination with responsive computerized environments such as Xanadu 2.0 and arrives in a present where cameras, vehicles, devices, networks and physical spaces can increasingly observe and respond to the people moving through them.
The deck makes no allegation about any individual or company and does not require the images to appear in a particular order. It uses questions, cultural memory, wordplay and visual absurdity rather than a fixed conclusion. Depending on where the viewer enters, Willy can be a whale, a question, a witness, a screensaver, a political joke, something being watched—or something watching back.
